Support Youth Sport Uganda to provide Food to families in the slums of Kampala during Covid-19

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has disrupted economic activities across the country, with many people forced out of work and several failing to provide basic needs for their families.

Uganda reported its first case on the 22nd March 2020 and as of now the numbers have been increasing each day, The government banned all public gatherings, closed schools and other education institutions, churches and mosques, and eventually lockdown was announced.

The lockdown has rendered many people in the slums where YSU operates jobless because their daily activities that provided food to their families were stopped. Most individuals in these slums are commercial motorcycle riders, taxi operators, vendors and also depend on a number of other small businesses which were hit.

Youth Sport Uganda is therefore raising funds to provide food to families that have been rendered Jobless and have gone days without meals.
